Summary: The QA Test Automation Engineer role is a remote position based in the UK, offering a 3-month contract outside of IR35. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing an automated testing platform using Playwright and TypeScript, focusing on both UI and API validation. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a robust automated testing platform for UI and API validation.
- Utilize Playwright and TypeScript to support Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices.
- Set up a TypeScript-based project structure optimized for Playwright.
- Configure build tools, package management, and environment configuration layers.
- Integrate Playwright test runner with custom configurations for parallel execution, retries, and reporting.
- Provide clear, developer-friendly documentation and onboarding materials.
Key Skills:
- Experience with Playwright and TypeScript.
- BDD (Gherkin) configuration and experience with Cucumber or similar tooling.
- Page Object Model with separate locator structures.
