Summary: This role as a QA Manual Engineer is essential for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of GA4 and Google Tag Manager data within an eCommerce environment. The engineer will collaborate closely with project leads and developers to validate tracking implementations, identify discrepancies, and ensure that analytics data is trustworthy for business decisions. The position emphasizes manual validation over automated testing, acting as a critical checkpoint before data is used for performance measurement. Attention to detail and strong communication skills are vital for documenting findings and collaborating with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manually validate GA4 and Google Tag Manager implementations across the eCommerce website
- Use browser developer tools (Chrome and Edge DevTools) to inspect network requests, console output, and event payloads
- Inspect and validate the website data layer directly using the browser console
- Confirm that events, parameters, and data values align with the defined tracking plan and business requirements
- Work with colleagues to ensure validation is completed according to project milestones and timelines
- Document findings, defects, and validation results in a clear, organized manner that can be shared with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Use Omnibug to verify GA4 events, parameters, and conversions
- Confirm correct tag firing behavior
- Identify missing, duplicated, or malformed events
- Partner with the Developer to report issues clearly and reproducibly
- Validate fixes after updates are deployed
- Confirm readiness for release
Key Skills:
- Experience as a Manual QA Engineer, Validation Analyst, or Analytics QA in web-based environments
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working through repetitive validation scenarios
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for documenting findings and collaborating with developers and project leadership
- Strong hands-on experience using Chrome and Edge Developer Tools
- Experience with Omnibug for analytics tag inspection and validation

Kforce has a client in Phoenix, AZ that is seeking a QA Manual Engineer.
Summary:
This role is critical to ensuring that GA4 and Google Tag Manager data is firing correctly, consistently, and in alignment with the defined tracking strategy. You will work closely with the Project Lead and the analytics-focused Developer to validate tracking accuracy across the site, identify gaps or inconsistencies, and provide confidence that analytics data can be trusted for reporting and business decision-making. This is a highly hands-on, detail-oriented role focused on manual validation rather than automated testing. This role acts as the final line of defense before analytics data is relied upon for performance measurement and business decisions.

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
