QA Manager with State client experience | Must be independent, not through employers

Summary: The QA Manager role involves developing and executing test plans, performing manual API testing, and managing various testing activities for enterprise applications. The position requires strong leadership and communication skills, along with extensive experience in QA methodologies and tools. The role is fully remote and focuses on ensuring quality through comprehensive testing strategies and defect management. Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years of QA/Test Management experience and expertise in API testing tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test strategies.
• Perform manual API testing using Postman and/or SoapUI.
• Conduct end-to-end integration testing between internal systems and external partners.
• Validate XML and JSON payloads against business and technical requirements.
• Perform SQL-based backend data validation and database testing.
• Manage UAT, regression, performance, accessibility, interface, and data conversion testing.
• Track, document, and manage defects throughout the SDLC.
• Coordinate testing activities, schedules, resources, and stakeholder communications.
• Prepare testing reports, metrics, and quality status updates.

Key Skills:

• 4+ years of QA/Test Management experience.
• Strong manual testing experience for enterprise applications.
• Expertise with API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
• Experience with integration testing and third-party system interfaces.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and QA methodologies.
• Experience with Selenium, UFT, JUnit, or similar testing tools.
• Strong defect management and test documentation experience.
• Experience leading UAT and regression testing activities.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
