Summary: We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer who will also take on managerial responsibilities to lead quality assurance initiatives across various projects. This position involves both hands-on testing and automation, as well as strategic planning and team leadership. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high software quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and automated test suites
- Ensure test coverage across functional, integration, regression, API, and performance areas
- Track and manage defects using Jira or similar tools
- Conduct performance/load testing using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner
- Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines
- Define and implement QA strategy, standards, and best practices
- Lead and mentor QA team members, conduct code/test reviews
- Oversee testing timelines, resource allocation, and risk assessments
- Collaborate with Product, Dev, and DevOps teams to ensure delivery excellence
- Drive continuous improvement and quality ownership across teams
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint deliverables
- Communicate QA status, blockers, and insights to stakeholders
- Promote a quality-first mindset in all phases of the SDLC
- Maintain traceable documentation: test cases, execution reports, and defect logs
- Report test metrics, quality KPIs, and improvement suggestions
Key Skills:
- 8+ years of experience in QA, with 2+ years in a QA leadership/managerial capacity
- Strong in STLC, Agile/Scrum, and QA automation frameworks (Selenium, TestNG, Cypress, RestAssured)
- Expertise in API testing (Postman, Swagger) and performance testing tools
- Familiar with QA tools: Jira, TestRail, TestIM
- Solid understanding of CI/CD and DevOps integration
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team management skills
