QA Engineer (Platform Engineering)

Summary: The QA Engineer/Analyst role within the Platform Engineering team is focused on ensuring the quality, reliability, and security of systems supporting national defense operations. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain quality assurance processes in compliance with industry standards. Candidates must hold SC Clearance for immediate start due to project timelines. This is a contract position with remote working and occasional travel requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure quality, reliability, and security of critical systems and platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement quality assurance processes.
• Maintain compliance with industry standards and policies.
• Conduct software testing and quality assurance activities.
• Communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Key Skills:

• Proven experience in quality assurance or software testing, preferably in defense or government sectors.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, TestRail).
• Familiarity with MOD policies and standards, including security and compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, ISO 9001:2015) are a plus.
