Summary: The QA Engineer role is a remote position with quarterly in-person planning, focused on ensuring robust and scalable systems through high standards in both functional and non-functional testing. Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of QA tasks and deliver outstanding functional automated and non-functional testing.
- Design, build, and maintain top-notch test automation frameworks with clean and reliable code.
- Collaborate closely with fellow QA Engineers to uphold consistent governance and quality aligned with Group standards.
- Create detailed test scenarios and cases for both functional and non-functional specifications.
- Conduct thorough performance, accessibility, usability, and security testing.
- Record and manage traceability from test cases back to requirements.
- Analyze test results, providing clear reports on progress, anomalies, and risks.
- Ensure defects are documented meticulously with all necessary details.
- Tackle issues in applications and environments, supporting frontline investigation and resolution.
- Engage in Agile ceremonies, discussing and addressing blockers during test activities.
- Mentor junior QA Engineers and manual testers, fostering their professional growth.
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in Java and/or Python, focusing on clean automation solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium or Playwright.
- Experience in accessibility and performance testing using tools like JMeter and k6.
- Strong knowledge of Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) and API testing (REST Assured, Postman, SOAP UI).
- Familiarity with non-functional requirements and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of Test Driven Development (TDD) and security testing approaches.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
- Experience in Agile teams with a proactive attitude in continuous delivery.
- Competence in software engineering tools like Maven and IntelliJ/Eclipse.
- Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (JUnit, TestNG), TestRail, JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL, and Cypress.
