Summary: The QA Automation Engineer at Beacon Systems, Inc. is responsible for leading testing teams and managing daily operations within Quality Assurance. Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze user requirements, design documents, and other documentation to develop detailed test cases.
  • Create and execute automated functional and regression test cases against HTML, PDF, and Excel Reports, documenting all issues and test results.
  • Perform SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data.
  • Collaborate with development teams and customers to understand functionality and implement test case automation.
  • Execute performance and accessibility testing.
  • Conduct manual testing and data validation.

Key Skills:

  • Testing complex Web Applications.
  • Testing all phases of Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Testing automation experience with Selenium and TestNG.
  • Advanced Database/SQL Language.
  • Experience with Java Programming Language.
  • Experience Using Apache POI and Apache PDFBox.
  • Experience with WAPT Pro, Jmeter, or other performance testing tools.
  • Experience parsing WebTables to Verify Results.
  • Previous experience with Zephyr Scale preferred.

Job Description:

The Software QA Engineer performs advanced and/or supervisory computer systems analysis and team lead work, administering the daily operations and activities of testing teams within the Quality Assurance (QA). Work involves planning, budgeting, and analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing systems.

This position will work with the FSP development team to provide the following Software Testing Services:

1) Analyze user requirements, design documents and other documentation to develop detailed test cases

2) Create and execute automated functional and regression test cases against HTML, PDF, and Excel Reports, report and document all issues, test cases ran, test results, and testing summaries in detail

3) Perform SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data

4) Work with development team and customers to clearly understand the functionality under test to define and implement test case automation and clearly communicate to the team

5) Execute performance and accessibility testing

6) Perform manual testing and data validation
