Summary: The QA Consultant role involves designing and executing various testing techniques, primarily in a remote capacity, for a leading organization. The consultant will be responsible for identifying defects, coaching team members, and ensuring data quality during migration to AWS. This position requires strong technical skills in QA processes and tools, as well as the ability to communicate findings effectively to diverse stakeholders. Candidates must hold or have held high-level security clearance due to the nature of the work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and execute a wide range of testing techniques and communicate test results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Make decisions on the environment for testing and coach others.
• Identify defects, alert the business to them, and help prioritize them based on defect severity.
• Design and execute a wide range of non-functional testing techniques.
• Communicate non-functional test results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Coach and mentor others in testing techniques and frameworks.
• Lead investigative work into problems and opportunities in existing processes.
• Drive the collection of information and create recommendations for improvements.
• Absorb large amounts of conflicting information and determine solutions.
• Develop and implement QA processes and procedures for data migration from legacy systems to AWS.
• Validate transformation logic during data processing in Databricks.
• Perform end-to-end testing of analytical workflows and dashboards.
• Review and validate analytical models and outputs produced by the analytical team.

Key Skills:

• Strong understanding of data quality principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with AWS services and Databricks.
• Proficiency in QA tools, technologies, and end-to-end automated integration tests.
• Ability to write and execute complex SQL queries for data validation.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python.
