QA Automation Engineer (Selenium & Katalon Studio)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium or Katalon Studio.
• Create and execute test scripts based on business requirements and functional specifications.
• Develop and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and automation test suites.
• Perform functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects to ensure timely resolution.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot automation failures, and prepare test execution reports.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA team members to resolve quality issues.
• Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks and test scripts.
• Participate in test planning, test strategy discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure adequate test coverage and compliance with quality standards.

Required Skills

• 8–10 years of experience in software testing and QA automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.
• Experience with Katalon Studio is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in test script creation, execution, debugging, and maintenance.
• Good understanding of functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience in test case design, defect management, and test reporting.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automation frameworks and reusable test components.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of programming or scripting languages used in test automation.
• Experience with test management and defect-tracking tools.
• Exposure to CI/CD integration for automated test execution.
