Summary: The QA Automation Engineer is responsible for leading and managing the daily operations of testing teams within the IT division, focusing on software testing services. This role involves analyzing user requirements, creating and executing test cases, and performing manual and automated testing. The position also requires collaboration with project development teams to ensure effective testing processes and documentation. The QA group plays a crucial role in supporting the implementation of applications and projects for the Texas Education Agency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze user requirements and design documents to develop detailed test cases.
- Create and execute manual and automated functional and regression test cases, documenting all issues and results.
- Perform manual testing and data validation.
- Execute SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand functionality and implement test case automation.
- Conduct performance and accessibility testing.
Key Skills:
- 7 years of experience testing complex web applications.
- 7 years of experience in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- 3 years of experience with Database/SQL language.
- 3 years of experience creating automation test cases.
- 2 years of experience with API, JSON, XML.
- 5 years of preferred test automation experience using open source technologies.
- 5 years of preferred experience with test frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, BDD.
- 2 years of preferred experience in API testing (SOAP and REST).
- 1 year of preferred experience with performance testing tools like WAPT Pro or Jmeter.
- 1 year of preferred experience testing .NET applications.
- 1 year of preferred experience working with Power BI.
- 1 year of preferred experience with Zephyr Scale.
- 1 year of preferred experience with JIRA.
