Summary: The QA Analyst for Payroll Testing will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test plans and scripts, focusing on payroll domain expertise. The role requires strong manual testing skills and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with quality standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts
- Perform Functional, Smoke, Regression, and End-to-End testing
- Validate payroll calculations, tax rules, deductions, benefits, and payroll workflows
- Document defects, analyze test results, and work with development teams on resolution
- Ensure compliance with SDLC/quality standards and support mission-critical applications
Key Skills:
- 8+ years of Software QA/Testing experience
- Strong Manual Testing experience (Functional, Smoke, Regression, End-to-End Testing)
- Payroll domain expertise (payroll processing, tax calculations, deductions, benefits, garnishments, gross-to-net calculations)
- Experience creating Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Scripts, Test Data, and Test Reports
- Defect tracking and defect lifecycle management
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience working with AI-based test automation/script generation tools
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Experience collaborating with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders
- Preferred Skills: DevSecOps, VersionOne or similar Agile tools, PL/SQL, Payroll systems implementation/testing, AI/ML tools (Copilot, WatsonX, Redux, etc.), Mainframe exposure
