We are seeking a Python Full Stack Engineer to join a groundbreaking program that combines innovative software development with strategic nature recovery initiatives. This is a chance to play a key role in building a more sustainable future.
The Role
You'll be a core part of a multi-disciplinary team, working alongside a BA, Designer, Tech Lead, Frontend Engineer, and User Researcher. We are looking for a consultant , not just an engineer, and we value your ability to communicate effectively with clients, collaborate and innovate. The team is AI-enabled , meaning you will have the opportunity to experiment and use AI tools like Cursor to accelerate your work and improve outcomes. This is a remote role, with occasional travel to our offices in Leeds, Manchester, or London (approximately once a month).
Your Skills
Must-have skills:
- Full stack development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python .
- Expertise in geospatial data processing , including programmatic spatial analysis and automated geoprocessing. You should be comfortable with libraries like GeoPandas or GDAL/OGR for tasks such as data cleaning and format conversion.
- Experience with Docker .
Nice-to-have skills:
- Familiarity with Node.js .
- Experience or interest in working with AI tools .
