Summary: The role of Senior Backend Python Developer is a hands-on position focused on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend applications and services. This contract position is fully remote and requires candidates to be based in the UK. The ideal candidate will possess strong Python development skills and experience in cloud-native development and API design. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and services using Python
  • Build and optimise RESTful APIs and microservices
  • Develop integrations between internal and third-party systems
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
  • Participate in technical design discussions and architectural decisions

  • Familiarity with Docker and containerised deployments

The Opportunity

We're working with a growing technology-driven organisation looking for a strong Senior Backend Python Developer to join their engineering team on an initial 3-month contract with a high likelihood of extension.

This is a hands-on backend-focused role where you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable services, APIs, and integrations that underpin critical business applications. You'll be working closely with architects, product teams, and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced Agile environment.
