Project Manager – Windows 11 Deployment

Summary: The role of Project Manager for Windows 11 Deployment involves overseeing a high-profile project within a leading MoD organization. The successful candidate will manage various project activities, including planning, reporting, and onboarding, while ensuring compliance with security clearance requirements. This position is remote with occasional travel to Bath/Chippenham and requires immediate availability. Active SC clearance is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support project planning, reporting, risk/issue tracking, and change management
• Develop and maintain a detailed Resource Onboarding Plan aligned with the project’s migration schedule
• Coordinate onboarding for new contractor resources, working with internal and external stakeholders
• Liaise with vetting departments to manage security clearance processes
• Create and maintain onboarding materials
• Schedule and run start-up meetings, including invites, confirmations, and minute-taking
• Collaborate with the Scheduling & Planning Manager to align resources with key milestones

Key Skills:

• Current and active SC clearance (essential – MoD/Gov level)
• Experience managing or supporting large-scale IT deployment or migration projects (Windows 11 ideal)
• Strong stakeholder coordination skills, particularly around resource planning and onboarding
• Excellent organisational, communication, and scheduling abilities
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently
• PM delivery experience and ways of working
• Desired skills/certs/quals: AGILE, PRINCE plus, any relevant Microsoft certs, for example: Implementing and Managing Windows 11 / Microsoft 365 Certified
