Summary: The Project Manager for Peak will oversee and align multiple operational workstreams aimed at optimizing peak final mile operations. This role involves leading project planning, execution, and reporting while applying data-driven insights and stakeholder collaboration. The Project Manager will also manage risks and build relationships across various functional areas to ensure project success. Essential experience in logistics and retail, along with advanced data analysis skills, is required for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead overall planning, control, status reporting, and project delivery for peak readiness projects.
  • Apply data-driven insights and critical path planning to prioritize and schedule delivery components.
  • Support decision-making through business intelligence and reporting of key metrics.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans, ensuring proactive communication and review.
  • Build strong relationships across functional support areas such as Resourcing, People Services, and Operations.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in logistics (Parcel Delivery) and/or retail domain.
  • Proven track record in managing high-profile projects related to operational readiness and change.
  • Strong data analysis skills and ability to improve end-of-life metrics.
  • Experience in governance, risk management, and reporting.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, engaging effectively from warehouse operatives to C-suite.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.

Project Manager | Peak

Oversee and align multiple operational workstreams focused on optimising peak final mile operations and readiness.

Day-to-day: Lead the overall planning, control, status reporting, stability and project delivery for peak readiness projects. Apply data-driven insights, stakeholder collaboration, and critical path planning to ensure key delivery components are effectively prioritised, scheduled, and executed on time. Support decision making through the provision of business intelligence and reporting of key metrics. Ensure the health of the project, identify project risks and mitigation plans and ensure these risks are proactively communicated and reviewed on a regular basis. Build strong relationships across all functional support e.g. Resourcing, People Services, Operations.

Essential experience needed: Logistics (Parcel Delivery) and/or Retail domain. Managing high profile projects (operational readiness and change). Data analysis, improving end-of-life metrics and critical path plans are executed effectively. Governance, Risk & Reporting ensuring the right governance & reporting is in place to track performance. Stakeholder Management, able to engage at all levels from warehouse operatives to C suite. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
