TxDMV has issued a request for a Project Manager with experience managing Major Information Resource Projects (MIRP). Because one of the requirements includes knowledge of DIR's Texas Project Delivery Framework, candidates are expected to have experience with one or more Texas State Agencies.
A project is considered a MIRP by having an estimated project cost of $5 million or more and meeting one of the following criteria:
- Takes more than one year to complete
- Involves more than one state agency/changes work methods of agency personnel/changes how services are delivered to clients or the public
- Impacts the state's financial systems
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Perform highly advanced project management work initiating and conducting enterprise level projects
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Independently performs a variety of complicated tasks
Minimum Candidate Characteristics:
- 8+ years of Project Management experience
- 4+ years of experience managing MIRP's
- Experience with one or more Texas State Agencies (DIR's Texas Project Delivery Framework)
