Project Manager

The Opportunity

This is a high-profile delivery role requiring an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in pensions and pension administration transformation.

You will be responsible for coordinating multiple workstreams across operations, pensions administration, technology, risk, legal, finance, commercial teams and external partners to ensure successful programme delivery.

A significant focus of the role will be leading the implementation of a pension administration platform, overseeing scheme migration activities, operational readiness, testing, data migration and transition into business-as-usual operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex pensions projects and transformation workstreams.
• Develop and manage integrated project plans, milestones, dependencies and critical paths.
• Drive governance, reporting, RAID management and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Manage pension administration platform implementation and operational readiness initiatives.
• Coordinate business, operational and technology teams to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
• Oversee scheme transition, data migration, reconciliation and cutover activities.
• Manage third-party suppliers, technology partners and implementation vendors.
• Build strong relationships with executive stakeholders and provide reporting to governance forums and senior leadership.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within pensions, pension administration or financial services.
• Demonstrable experience delivering pension administration platform implementations.
• Strong understanding of pension administration operations, processes and technology platforms.
• Experience managing scheme migrations, administration transitions or onboarding programmes.
• Strong data migration, reconciliation and cutover planning experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, including engagement with Programme Directors, Executive Sponsors and senior leadership teams.
• Experience delivering large-scale business and technology transformation programmes.
• Strong supplier and vendor management experience.

Highly Desirable

• Defined Benefit (DB) pensions expertise.
• SuperFund, DB consolidation, buy-in/buy-out or BPA programme experience.
• Experience implementing or similar pension administration platforms.
• Background within pension administrators, trustees, insurers, Master Trusts or pension consulting organisations.
