Job Summary – Project Manager III — Software Implementation and Rollout
Lead and manage large-scale software implementation and rollout projects for the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Division of Public Health, Office of Health Informatics.
Oversee all aspects of deployment planning, organizational readiness, testing phases, and transition to operational support.
Maintain strong project controls, including integrated project planning, dependency tracking, risk and issue resolution, and clear status reporting to leadership and stakeholders.
Coordinate and communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, subject matter experts, leadership, and affected user groups to ensure alignment and progress.
Drive cross-functional collaboration to move decisions forward and resolve project roadblocks.
Facilitate stakeholder communications, including updates on project impacts, key decisions, and implementation progress.
(Preferred) Support organizational change management activities, including communications planning, training coordination, and end-user adoption readiness.
(Preferred) Manage vendor-delivered software projects or large-scale public-sector software implementations.
(Preferred) Apply project management best practices; PMP certification or equivalent training is a plus.
(Preferred) Hold a bachelor’s degree in project management, business, information technology, public administration, or a related field, or possess equivalent experience leading complex software implementation projects.
100% remote work for current Wisconsin residents, with up to 20% in-state travel and required onsite presence for Day 1.
Role runs from November 30, 2026, to June 30, 2027, with possible extension contingent on fiscal year renewal.
