Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage ELIRE Infra’s internal work package timelines, resource tracking, and deliverables
  • Co-lead weekly coordination sessions with the team and support engagement with partner organisations
  • Prepare and maintain Gantt charts, project roadmaps, and detailed delivery trackers
  • Draft clear, professional reporting documentation in line with Innovate UK standards and milestones
  • Attend consortium check-ins and help consolidate partner inputs for joint submissions
  • Coordinate risks, dependencies, and communications to ensure alignment across the project
  • Reference and follow the submitted grant application for delivery and documentation guidance
  • Coordinate engineering and technical work-streams, hydrogen storage, power conversion, micro-grid, and platform concepts
  • Lead bi-weekly engineering huddles and agreed on stage-gate reviews
  • Manage the live technical-risk register (FMECA / HAZID) and interface matrix

Role Description – Project Manager (Hydrogen Floating Powerhub Programme) Part-Time | Fixed-Term (7 months) | Starting 1 September 2025 (Subcontracted)

ELIRE Group is leading the development of a Hydrogen Floating Powerhub , a first-of-its-kind, zero-emission, grid-independent energy platform designed to support cold ironing, electric vessel charging, and clean port operations. We are seeking a Project Manager (Engineering) to support the successful delivery of ELIRE Infra’s internal work packages while helping coordinate the overall consortium effort. The role requires availability for weekly team meetings , regular contact with the steering committee, and consortium partner sessions , with flexibility to respond at short notice to key deadlines or communications. The candidate will manage project progress, timelines, reporting deliverables, and ensure compliance with UKRI standards, based on the awarded grant documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage ELIRE Infra’s internal work package timelines, resource tracking, and deliverables
  • Co-lead weekly coordination sessions with the team and support engagement with partner organisations
  • Prepare and maintain Gantt charts, project roadmaps, and detailed delivery trackers
  • Draft clear, professional reporting documentation in line with Innovate UK standards and milestones
  • Attend consortium check-ins and help consolidate partner inputs for joint submissions

  • Lead bi-weekly engineering huddles and agreed on stage-gate reviews, driving action closure, document control, and alignment with technical KPIs.
  • Manage the live technical-risk register (FMECA / HAZID) and interface matrix, prioritising mitigation tasks and tracking TRL progression ahead of consortium and UKRI reporting.

Remuneration & Conditions:

This is a subcontracted role with a fixed remuneration The selected individual must have a registered sole proprietorship or company for invoicing purposes
