Role Overview
I'm looking for a Mid-Weight Project Manager to join a small, lean, independent creative agency for a 4-week contract.
It's an agency we've worked closely with the founder of for a number of years, so this is a lovely opportunity to join a trusted client and get stuck straight in.
The agency specialises in integrated campaigns and creative production, working across a mix of creative, digital and campaign activity.
There are no shoots taking place during this period, so this isn't a production-heavy role. It's about taking ownership, keeping projects on track, managing client requests and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
The contract
- 2.5 days of handover at the start, getting you fully up to speed on live projects, clients, timelines and priorities
- 3 weeks of hands-on project management, taking ownership and keeping everything moving
- 2.5 days of hand-back at the end, ensuring a smooth transition back to the usual team
What you'll be doing
- Taking ownership of a number of live projects and keeping them moving
- Managing project trackers, timelines, actions and status updates
- Monitoring client inboxes and responding to requests
- Managing day-to-day client communication and keeping stakeholders updated
- Coordinating tasks, deadlines and deliverables across creative and production teams
- Chasing feedback, approvals, assets and outstanding actions
- Identifying potential issues or delays and flagging them early
- Joining internal and client calls, taking actions and ensuring they're followed through
- Helping prioritise work across the team and keeping everyone aligned
- Generally being the person who knows what's happening, what's needed next and who needs to do it
What we're looking for
This would suit an experienced Project Manager / Integrated Project Manager / Creative Project Manager who is comfortable stepping into a small agency environment and getting up to speed quickly.
You'll ideally have:
Desired Experience
- Experience managing projects within a creative, integrated, production or agency environment
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Confidence dealing directly with clients and internal stakeholders
- Experience managing multiple workstreams and competing deadlines
- A proactive approach - you're comfortable taking ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do
- Strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through
- The ability to quickly understand where projects are up to and what needs to happen next
- A calm, practical approach when things get busy
- The confidence to work independently in a small, lean team
Final Notes
This isn't a role where you'll have a huge support structure around you, so we're looking for someone who is self-sufficient, switched-on and happy to get stuck in.
The brief is simple: get up to speed quickly, take the reins, keep the clients happy and make sure the wheels keep turning.
