Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end implementation of EMR systems, with a focus on eClinicalWorks (eCW), from project initiation through go-live and post-implementation support.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, resource allocations, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders including physicians, nurses, IT teams, practice administrators, and third-party vendors to gather requirements and ensure alignment of the EMR system with clinical workflows.
- Coordinate system configuration, data migration, testing, training, and user adoption strategies.
- Manage project budgets, track milestones, and ensure deliverables meet quality standards and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH).
- Facilitate regular status meetings, produce project documentation, and communicate updates to leadership and stakeholders.
- Oversee vendor relationships, including contracts, deliverables, and performance evaluations.
- Identify opportunities for system optimization post-implementation and lead enhancement efforts.
- Provide leadership and coaching to cross-functional project teams, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement.
Key Skills:
- 10+ years of project management experience in healthcare IT, with at least 3 years focused on EMR/EHR implementations.
- Hands-on experience implementing or managing projects involving eClinicalWorks (eCW) strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of clinical workflows, practice operations, medical billing, and healthcare data standards.
- Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously in complex clinical environments.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards in healthcare, including HIPAA, Meaningful Use, and HL7 interfaces.
