Summary: This role is for a Project Manager specializing in Data Intelligence, focusing on leading complex IT data projects while ensuring stakeholder engagement and strategic delivery. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders. Key responsibilities include project leadership, stakeholder management, and financial oversight. The position requires a blend of technical acumen and leadership skills to navigate evolving business needs effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of 2-4 large-scale, complex IT data projects simultaneously.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and resources to ensure commitments are met on time and within quality parameters.
- Develop and maintain key project artifacts, including schedules, communication plans, and staffing plans.
- Proactively identify, manage, and resolve project risks, issues, and blockers, escalating to leadership as necessary to keep projects on track.
- Quickly earn the trust of project sponsors, executives, and key stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project communications, collaborating effectively with senior IT leaders and business executives to define, plan, and deliver complex projects.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term professional relationships based on trust and respect.
- Represent the project in governance meetings and various inter-departmental forums.
- Lead cross-functional project teams composed of DaVita teammates and contractors, including Data and Test Engineers, Architects, and Analysts.
- Act as the single accountable party for managing and reporting on the project budget. This includes validating forecasts, tracking actual spend, managing variances, and approving project labor.
Key Skills:
- 4+ years of experience managing IT software development projects with a strong track record of successful technology implementations.
- Proven ability to manage stakeholder expectations and communicate clearly, concisely, and confidently at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, and influencing skills.
- Strong business and technical acumen, with the ability to navigate complex organizational structures.
- PMP or Agile certification.
- Experience with Agile/Iterative project management platforms (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and PPM tools (e.g., Apptio Targetprocess).
- Proficiency in financial management tools (e.g., Apptio One, Excel).
- Experience with managing vendor implementations from RFP to completion (nice to have).
- Familiarity with working in a Product-Centric Organization (nice to have).
