Summary: The Project Engineer will oversee engineering and technical disciplines for various projects, focusing on planning, criteria establishment, project reviews, and implementation. This full-time contract role requires remote work with approximately 50-60% travel to project sites across the United States. The position demands strong project management skills and collaboration with construction managers and senior engineers to ensure project success and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering and experience in construction or manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring assigned engineering projects.
  • Formulating project parameters and assigning responsibilities to team members.
  • Assisting the construction manager in managing the implementation phase of projects.
  • Performing quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance.
  • Cooperating and communicating with project managers and other participants.
  • Reviewing engineering tasks and initiating corrective actions as necessary.
  • Developing specifications for required project equipment.
  • Creating frameworks for measuring project metrics and data collection.
  • Conducting quality inspections during the construction phase.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable codes, practices, and specifications.
  • Documenting lessons learned and providing feedback to the organization.
  • Traveling to project sites as required (50%).

Key Skills:

  • Knowledge in civil, mechanical, or electrical construction practices.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles.
  • High competency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Project scheduling skills with experience in Microsoft Project/Primavera.
  • Ability to understand and follow corporate policies for Capital Project Management.
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in construction, manufacturing, or engineering.
  • Requirements analysis, design skills, project management, knowledge of construction methods and materials.
  • Excellent computer skills with Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project, AutoCAD.
  • Excellent communication skills.
