Summary: The Project Engagement Manager will lead and deliver pre-application engagement activities for London Stansted Airport's Sustainable Development Plan, ensuring effective communication with local communities and stakeholders. This role involves collaborating with a corporate affairs team and an agency to implement a comprehensive engagement program. The position is fixed-term, lasting 6-9 months, with potential for extension based on project needs. The role is remote, ideally based in South West England or London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high quality project engagement with external stakeholders and local communities through workshops, community consultation events, and research panels.
- Collaborate with media, social media, and stakeholder engagement colleagues to support communications goals.
- Establish and nurture a local community of stakeholders and partners to build awareness and support for the project.
- Support the team in managing the appointed agency, tracking deliverables, and managing budget and overspend.
Key Skills:
- First class communications skills with a strong instinct for relationship building.
- Experience in building internal and external relationships quickly for project benefit.
- Understanding of planning, infrastructure development, or aviation, with related work experience preferred.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues to deliver outcomes efficiently.
- Experience working within or alongside a matrixed team.
- Experience working at or with an agency on multi-faceted projects involving various stakeholders.
