Summary: The Project Delivery Engineer role at ASK4 involves managing the technical aspects of new site deployments, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to high standards. This position requires a technically minded engineer who enjoys problem-solving and working on diverse projects. The role is remote, supporting on-site engineers and configuring LAN infrastructure. Candidates should have a solid technical foundation in networking and a proactive attitude towards learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configuring site equipment ahead of installation
- Setting up and provisioning LAN infrastructure including switches and access points, in line with design and scope
- Supporting on-site engineers and third parties remotely during installs, upgrades, and takeovers
- Fault finding across wireless APs, switches, Linux, and RouterOS systems
- Preparing clear documentation and work packs for installers and support teams
- Bringing third-party network services online and troubleshooting where needed
- Keeping stakeholders updated on project progress and flagging issues promptly
- Completing a handover of each site with detailed information to support long-term maintenance
Key Skills:
- Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
- A strong understanding of TCP/IP within an ISP environment
- Experience with switching infrastructure and protocols
- Knowledge of LAN, WAN, and wireless technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A self-motivated attitude and a genuine enthusiasm for learning and development
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well as part of a team
- A networking qualification (Ruckus, MikroTik, or Huawei preferred), previous experience in a second line or NOC environment within an ISP, or a PRINCE2 qualification would all be great to have, but are not essential

About the Role
As a Project Delivery Engineer at ASK4, you'll take ownership of the technical side of new site deployments, from initial planning and equipment configuration through to live handover. You'll work remotely to support on-site engineers and third parties, configure LAN infrastructure, and ensure every project is delivered on time and to a high standard. No two projects are the same, and you'll be working across a range of site sizes and complexity levels, making this a role where you'll genuinely grow your skills and experience.
