The role sits between Project Administrator and Project Manager in terms of responsibility, with Project Coordinators taking a more active role in tracking deliverables, managing dependencies, coordinating resources across workstreams, and acting as a central point of contact for project communications and status tracking. Project Coordinators are brought in to provide additional support capacity on large programmes, to coordinate specific workstreams within a wider delivery structure, or to manage the coordination of a defined project where a full Project Manager is not required.
