Summary: The Programme Manager role involves overseeing the end-to-end delivery of large programmes, ensuring they meet governance and operational KPIs. The position requires managing complex projects, leading a team of Project Managers, and fostering relationships with key stakeholders. The role is primarily remote, with occasional meetings at various office locations. The contract is for 26 weeks with potential for extension, offering a competitive day rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the delivery of a large programme, initially observing an external delivery provider.
- Adapt and take over the programme, ensuring alignment with operational goals.
- Lead a team of Project Managers to deliver a programme of projects and initiatives successfully.
- Provide expertise in business cases, cost and benefit estimates, programme plans, and risk mitigation.
- Set and manage targets and milestones for delivery speed and quality.
- Foster a one-team ethos, optimizing delivery plans and efficiency with stakeholders and team members.
- Report project status, issues, risks, and financial monitoring to sponsor groups.
- Identify and manage dependencies within and across portfolios.
- Develop and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders, including Directors.

Our client is currently looking for a new recruit in joining their team, please read on! You can also ask our friendly recruitment team any questions you may have about the role, between 8:30am-5:30pm Monday to Friday.
Shifts: Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week)

This role provides a remote working access from the comforts of your own home and only going to our state-of-the-art office in Reading/London/Leeds/Birmingham/Manchester for meetings.
