Summary: We are seeking a Senior Program Manager with expertise in Application Migration for a remote position. The role emphasizes leadership in app migration logistics and infrastructure, rather than specific application knowledge. The contract duration is 12 months, with potential for conversion to a permanent role. Occasional travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the overall execution plan for application migration.
- Ensure effective planning, negotiation, and app disposition.

We are searching for a Senior Program Manager with strong Application Migration experience. This is a remote based opportunity. Occasional travel for a day and duration we have is 12 month with a possibility of going contract to hire. The person we are searching for really needs to understand the logistics and infrastructure knowledge to migrate the app more than the actual application knowledge. They will be focused on the overall execution plan and ensure that it is executed. From an app language perspective here s a list below definitely not the primary focus of the position. It s more leadership of the overall app migration, planning, negotiation, and app disposition.
Rate: 80/W2 or 90 C2C
No Third Parties.
Prefer people in EST or CST.
Application technologies:
C, C++, UNIX, SQL, PL/SQL, HTML, Python, Azure Synapse, Snowflake, Oracle, ADO and/or Power BI.
A few removals to help fine tune:
- No AWS solely, absolutely needs to be Azure background.
- No healthcare solely, No government solely, No SAP solely.
- They need to be real leaders as they will need to interface from CIO to Mailman.
- If they have zero infrastructure background they will likely not get selected.
Qualifications
- Previous experience with large scale application migration program for an enterprise of multiple business areas. This could include divestiture or technology transformation, or data center migration.
- Azure and On-prem experience are a requirement
- Azure Certification preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
- 10+ years of technical project management experience with a focus in large enterprise (F500) orgs
- Background in infrastructure, application, platform technology, and/or technology management
- Ability to merge multiple business area project schedules into an enterprise program plan regardless of it being run agile or waterfall
- Experience in an agile pod running scrum preferred
- Passionate about client engagement and creating demonstrable value for clients
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent collaboration and skilled at leading teams through complex engagements
- Organized and methodical; strong prioritization and multi-tasking skills
- Operates with a propensity for thoughtful action and high output
- Experienced in building relationships with IT executives and decision-makers
