Position Overview
We are looking for a strong Production Support Engineer with hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and Web Services to support production applications and troubleshoot critical issues in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have strong Java development fundamentals along with experience supporting enterprise applications in production environments. Experience with Big Data platforms is a plus.
This is a Contract-to-Hire opportunity with a night-shift assignment. The selected candidate will initially complete training and knowledge transfer during the day before transitioning to the regular night shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide production support for enterprise applications and services.
- Monitor production applications and identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues.
- Analyze application errors, logs, and system behavior to determine root causes.
- Support Java-based applications and troubleshoot issues across application components.
- Work with Spring Boot applications and RESTful Web Services.
- Investigate production incidents and provide timely resolutions.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and other technical teams to resolve production issues.
- Perform incident analysis, root-cause analysis, and follow established production support procedures.
- Participate in knowledge-transfer and application-support activities.
- Document incidents, resolutions, and operational procedures.
- Support scheduled weekend rotations, approximately once per month.
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Java – MUST HAVE
- Strong experience with Spring Boot – MUST HAVE
- Strong experience with RESTful APIs / Web Services – MUST HAVE
- Production support experience in an enterprise environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience analyzing application logs and resolving production incidents.
- Ability to work independently during overnight production support shifts.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
