Summary: The role of Brand Partnerships Manager involves leading the identification and securing of UK brands for sponsorship and product placement in a short-form web-series focused on a gay athlete. The candidate will create compelling proposals and work closely with the production team to ensure organic product visibility. This position is remote but requires experience with UK brands and aims for a longer-term contract upon full series commissioning. The project is produced by an independent British company and is set to shoot in December 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pitch to relevant UK brands (streetwear, sportswear, grooming, wellness etc.) for paid and in-kind product placement
  • Shape compelling proposals that reflect each brand’s audience and tone
  • Advise on brand visibility across episodes and supporting social media promo
  • Help align product visibility with talent (some of whom already regularly receive branded offers and sponsorships)
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure product placement feels organic and story-appropriate
  • Once initial written intention from a brand has been obtained, handover the client to the producers for further negotiations and contracting

Key Skills:

  • Experience in brand partnerships, product placement, influencer marketing or branded content
  • A proven network across (or an ability to create a tangible route to) youth-facing UK brands, especially in men's streetwear, grooming, wellness and sport
  • Passionate about diverse, topical stories
  • Excellent communicator and creative strategist with a commercial eye
  • A self-starter excited to work on a progressive and meaningful project that blends culture, sport and representation

Detailed Description From Employer:

We’re looking for an experienced brand partnerships manager to join an ambitious, innovative short-form web-series. You’ll lead on identifying, approaching, and securing exciting UK brands for cash sponsorship and in-kind product placement.

About the Project: This is a bold, topical scripted drama ( 10 x 3-5min episodes) set in the world of sport, focused on a gay athlete. It is based on an 8 x 60min series which has already attracted strong commissioner interest. The web-series is being created as both a standalone YouTube production and a proof-of-concept. The cast and HoDs roster includes a number talent with 100k+ Instagram followers and strong TikTok engagement. Our Casting Director has recently cast a major Netflix original series. Candidates invited for interview will be asked to sign an NDA at which point full details regarding talent, producers, crew, story etc will be disclosed. The series is produced by an emerging, independent British production company and funded independently. We're seeking a candidate who believes in our vision, our project and wishes to come on board with a view to a longer-term contract when the full series is commissioned.
