Summary: The Product Owner for Municipal Bonds will lead the development and execution of product strategies for Munis platforms, focusing on the deal lifecycle and integration of workflows. This role requires extensive experience in municipal bonds and involves collaboration with various stakeholders to prioritize solutions and drive adoption. The position is fully remote and is expected to last for over 12 months. The successful candidate will manage cross-functional Agile teams to ensure high-quality delivery and user satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop deep expertise in Munis deal lifecycle, including new issue workflows, order book management, allocations, and investor distribution.
- Define and execute the product vision and roadmap aligned to strategic priorities for Munis platforms.
- Drive front-to-back workflow integration, ensuring seamless data flow across origination, syndication, and settlement systems.
- Partner with syndicate desks, bankers, sales, and operations to understand pain points and prioritize high-impact solutions.
- Communicate product strategy, roadmap, and outcomes to senior stakeholders and drive adoption across business users.
- Own and prioritize the program and product backlog, balancing regulatory, business, and platform modernization priorities.
- Lead delivery across 1-3 cross-functional Agile teams, ensuring alignment and value delivery.
- Define and refine user stories and acceptance criteria with a focus on automation, data integrity, and client transparency.
- Make real-time trade-off decisions between new features, regulatory requirements, and platform stability.
- Ensure high-quality delivery and acceptance of features, with a focus on scalability and resilience.
- Drive automation and straight-through processing (STP) across Munis execution workflows.
- Support user training, demos, and change management to improve adoption and user experience.
