Join a team delivering technology that powers critical UK infrastructure

We're recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation responsible for supporting critical national infrastructure. As a Product Owner, you'll join a growing Product Management team delivering a portfolio of exciting digital transformation projects that are modernising business-critical platforms and services.

This is a predominantly home-based role where you'll work closely with Product Managers, Engineering, Integration and Delivery teams to define priorities, manage backlogs and ensure successful Agile delivery.

Current programmes include:

  • AWS cloud migration and integration projects.
  • Modernisation of Control and Dispatch platforms.
  • ResourceLink transformation.
  • Enterprise telephony migration.
  • Jira migration and optimisation.

No two days are the same, with the opportunity to contribute across multiple products and strategic technology programmes.

What you'll be doing

  • Own and prioritise product backlogs across multiple initiatives.
  • Gather and refine business requirements.
  • Create user stories, epics and acceptance criteria.
  • Work closely with developers, architects, QA and business stakeholders.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement and sprint reviews.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and product releases.
  • Manage relationships with third-party development partners.
  • Ensure products deliver value while balancing business priorities and technical improvements.

What we're looking for

You'll be an experienced Product Owner who enjoys working in a collaborative Agile environment.

  • Experience as a Product Owner or in a similar Agile product role.
  • Strong experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience managing product backlogs and prioritising work.
  • Confidence working with technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting UAT and working with third-party suppliers.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A pragmatic, self-sufficient approach with the ability to make informed decisions and work independently.

Desirable

  • Experience working within Scrum or Kanban environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning and retrospectives.
  • Experience supporting AWS cloud migration or digital transformation programmes.
  • Experience using Jira or Azure DevOps.

Why apply?

Home-based with quarterly planning sessions in Bristol.

Travel and accommodation expenses covered.

Opportunity to work on enterprise-scale cloud transformation programmes.

Collaborative Agile environment with modern technologies.

Long-term projects supporting one of the UK's leading infrastructure organisations.
