Summary: The Product Manager (Consultant) at Global Canopy will oversee the development of the EU Nature Dependency Dashboard, aimed at enhancing understanding of EU economies' reliance on nature. This role involves creating a product strategy, managing the development process, and ensuring cross-programmatic alignment within the organization. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure the dashboard meets its goals and evolves effectively. The consultant will work approximately one day per week over eight months, with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a product strategy and vision.
  • Work with the programme team to articulate the product strategy based on programmatic needs, organisational priorities, and budgets.
  • Develop a plan and technical brief, collaborating with programme leads, communications, and designers.
  • Incorporate UX considerations, user testing, and web development expertise into the product strategy.
  • Manage the end-to-end product development process from ideation to design and build stages.
  • Conduct user research and lead user testing with support from the designer.
  • Set out a strategy for monitoring the beta version and planning future iterations.
  • Ensure cross-programmatic alignment with the Corporate Performance programme.
  • Communicate frequently with the wider Global Canopy technical team and Tech Strategy Steering Group.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum three years' experience in product management or equivalent positions.
  • Experience managing products for government, policy, or regulatory audiences.
  • A problem-solving approach and ability to identify opportunities.
  • Ability to adapt product management best practices to a non-profit environment.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with multiple stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and quality.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of the environmental sector and/or financial audiences (desirable).
  • Experience managing commercial products (desirable).
