Summary: The Procurement Engineering Lead role focuses on managing supplier transition and qualification programs within a remote setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead supplier transition and qualification programs.
- Manage program schedules, milestones, and risk logs.
- Oversee supplier cutover, inventory build, and run-out planning.
- Ensure purchase order coverage and delivery adherence.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and manage escalations.
- Interface between suppliers and customer plant teams.
- Plan and execute PPAP as per Customer Quality Procedures.
- Conduct First Article Inspections at supplier facilities.
- Manage Supplier Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Handle Product Deviation Notices (PDN) and drive closure.
- Conduct Supplier Process Audits and document findings.
- Prepare inspection plans from engineering drawings.
- Manage Engineering Change Notices (ECN).
- Track and report supplier quality KPIs.
- Handle components such as sheet metal, machined parts, and electrical components.
- Escalate unresolved supplier quality issues.
- Support ERP transitions and system updates.
- Identify and qualify alternate suppliers.
- Support new product development projects.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
- Strong experience in supplier transition and qualification programs.
