You ll be part of the Supervision team that develops productive working relationship with service providers, involving regular engagement. This team is the face of the Online Safety Group to the largest online services in the UK.Specification of service To succeed in our mission of keeping UK Internet users safe, the Online Safety Group needs to process large amounts of qualitative from multiple sources (news articles, scholarly journals, service provider submissions, self-commissioned research and more).The information we currently hold regarding regulated services is often siloed within cross functional teams, making it difficult or time consuming for colleagues to find relevant information or updates. A functional Knowledge Management process and (eventually) system will provide a centralised source of information that is easily accessible and can lead to faster decision making.We are looking for a Process Design and Project Management Consultant to work with us till 31 March, 2025 to:Accelerate the building out of a proof of concept of this framework, leveraging already present threads within Supervision portfolios, the broader Online Safety team, our data experts, and product managers assigned to online safety.Own the business requirements gathering for a best in class solution to enable greater scale and sustainability.Coordinate ideas, efforts and deliverables across multiple Supervision teams to craft a coherent and aligned strategy for implementation of our plans.The skills, knowledge, and experience you ll need for successExperience in translating business needs from policy and operations teams to product management or engineering teams and up to senior leadership.Experience managing cross-functional initiatives and a record of designing and implementing processes that solve cross-functional business problemsThe ability to derive, document and defend business requirements for automated/platform solutions to manual processesThe ability to design and test proof of concept processes and framework and produce meaningful analyses to inform development next steps.Excellent communication and presentation development skills, with an ability to adapt style, tone and level of detail depending on the audienceExcellent organisational and project management skills, including experience with project management frameworks and tools.A track record of being able to work independently, prioritise effectively and influence without authority.Equal OpportunityAt Ofcom we prioritise inclusive and diverse recruitment in order to truly reflect the society we represent.Where positions are listed as full time, we remain open to reduced hours, part-time arrangements, job shares and other flexible working options from day one of employment.
