Posted 1 day ago by AgreeYa Solutions

About the Role

We are seeking a Privacy Technology Engineer to help design, implement, integrate, and optimize enterprise privacy technology solutions, with an initial focus on Consent & Preference Management.

This is a highly hands-on role for someone who combines privacy technology, MarTech, web analytics, and software integration skills. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently as the primary IT resource and should have strong experience with Consent Management Platforms (CMPs), tag management, JavaScript, APIs, customer data platforms, and privacy-focused data collection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, implement, and support enterprise Consent Management Platform (CMP) solutions such as OneTrust, Ketch, Syrenis, Cookiebot, Didomi, or similar platforms.
  • Integrate consent solutions across websites, mobile applications, portals, and digital experiences.
  • Develop integrations between privacy platforms and enterprise systems including IAM, CRM, CDP, marketing platforms, data warehouses, analytics platforms, and downstream applications.
  • Configure Google Tag Manager, Tealium, Adobe Launch, or similar tag-management technologies to enforce customer consent preferences.
  • Implement consent-based controls for tracking scripts, cookies, pixels, and other technologies using JavaScript, APIs, and browser technologies.
  • Support implementation of Google Consent Mode v2, IAB TCF 2.2, Global Privacy Control (GPC), and other applicable privacy standards.
  • Develop and maintain REST API and webhook integrations to synchronize consent and preference data with enterprise systems.
  • Support Server-Side Tagging, privacy-safe analytics, and conversion tracking solutions.
  • Work with Marketing, Digital, Analytics, AdOps, UX, and Engineering teams to improve consent experiences while maintaining privacy compliance.
  • Design and support data flows for consent and preference information across CRM, CDP, data warehouse, and marketing automation platforms.
  • Develop SQL-based analysis and reporting to monitor consent activity, opt-in/opt-out trends, and technical issues.
  • Establish reusable integration patterns, technical standards, documentation, and onboarding processes for applications adopting the privacy platform.
  • Support automated scanning and monitoring of cookies, tags, scripts, and third-party technologies.
  • Participate in testing, deployment, troubleshooting, documentation, operational readiness, and knowledge transfer.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Security, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in MarTech, Digital Analytics, Data Engineering, Privacy Technology, or related technical disciplines.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Consent Management Platforms (CMPs) such as OneTrust, Ketch, Syrenis, Cookiebot, Didomi, or similar.
  • Strong experience with Google Tag Manager, Tealium, Adobe Launch, or comparable tag-management platforms.
  • Strong JavaScript, HTML, and CSS skills.
  • Experience working with browser technologies including Cookies, LocalStorage, and browser storage mechanisms.
  • Hands-on experience developing REST API and webhook integrations.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and consent/event data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, IAB TCF 2.2, Global Privacy Control (GPC), and Google Consent Mode v2.
  • Experience with Server-Side Tagging and privacy-focused tracking architectures.
  • Experience with MarTech and analytics technologies such as GA4, Adobe Analytics, Meta Pixel, Google Ads, Segment, Tealium, or Adobe Experience Platform.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as the primary IT resource for the initiative.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Adobe Experience Platform, Segment, Tealium CDP, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, or Snowflake.
  • Experience with Meta Conversions API (CAPI) and privacy-safe conversion tracking.
  • Experience working in multi-brand, multi-domain, or multi-region enterprise environments.
  • Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries.
  • Privacy or technology-related certification is a plus.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is not purely a privacy/compliance professional. This is a hands-on engineering role requiring someone who can independently work across:

Privacy Technology + CMP + MarTech + Tag Management + JavaScript + APIs + Data/Analytics

The ability to design, build, integrate, troubleshoot, and operate the solution independently is critical.
