Summary: The role of Principle Endur Back Office BA involves working remotely or from Canary Wharf to support the implementation of ION’s Endur ETRM solution for bp’s Power Trading team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of ION’s Endur ETRM solution.
  • Advise clients on the use, configuration, and customization of Endur’s back office solutions.
  • Work independently as a BA lead and support other BAs on projects.
  • Collaborate with traders, account, and risk teams.
  • Manage Endur deal lifecycle, including configuration for confirmations, settlement invoicing, and scheduling.
  • Implement a test regime to ensure solution quality.
  • Utilize scrum methodology in a hybrid team environment.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Elaborate requirements and design efficient application solutions.

Job Title: Principle Endur Back Office BA

Job Location: Remote or Canary Wharf

Contract Length: Until the 31st December 2025 (Possibility of extension)

Experience Working Hours: 8 per days/ 40 per week

Role Overview: Endur technical business analyst to work on Back Office elements for our Power Trading team. The consultant will support bp’s implementation of ION’s Endur ETRM solution as part of a project team or as an individual contributor. In this role the individual will be responsible for advising and working with clients on the use, configuration, and customization of Endur’s back office/settlements and accounting solution.

What you will have:

  • Hands-on experience implementing and extending features in OpenLink Endur
  • Experience working on Physical and Financial Power and Gas Markets.
  • Ability to work independently as a BA lead and in a team supporting other BAs on projects.
  • Experience working across all areas of the trading floor of Front/Mid/Back office but with a focus on back office
  • Expert in non-linear instruments in a Commodity/Energy Trading environment and how to represent them in Openlink Endur.
  • Comfortable in liaising with both Traders, account and risk teams
  • An understanding of account principles; postings, reconciliation, ledgers and integration with SAP.
  • Strong functional experience with Endur deal lifecycle management including Back Office Desktop, Accounting Desktop, experience with Tax Manager and Hedge Analyzer is a plus
  • Endur configuration for Deal lifecycle, Confirmations, Settlement invoicing and scheduling
  • A proven ability to solve problems creatively within a transparent change control mechanism.
  • Understanding of Endur Reporting architecture, including understanding of core Risk simulation results and modules of Endur such as APM, TPM, DMS, Connex and EOD Workflows
  • Understand Endur deployment procedures including CMM import/export and cloud DevOps
  • Working with business analysts and traders to elaborate requirements, design and implement efficient application solutions
  • Implementing a test regime to ensure solution quality across the delivery
  • Working with a hybrid team of delivery resources (internal & external); utilising scrum methodology where relevant
  • Strong Communications skills with the ability to operate across complex business environments and stakeholders up to senior executive level.
  • A strong familiarity with analytical software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills following a structured approach.
  • Experience of agile delivery.

Desirable experience:

  • Experience in the energy or commodities markets
  • Experience in the natural gas, power, LNG, renewables, or oil markets is a plus
  • Experience with scheduling/logistics and volume actualization is a plus
  • Demonstrated outstanding academic achievement resulting in a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • MBA, Masters in Accounting, and/or CPA are a strong plus
  • Experience in Endur implementation and upgrade projects with strong knowledge of industry leading practices
  • Must be willing to learn and demonstrate high self-motivation
  • Must be detail-oriented and organized
  • Must have a strong technical aptitude
  • Knowledge of SQL is a plus
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
