Summary: The Principal Solution Architect will lead digital transformation initiatives within a global organization, focusing on pre-sales and delivery of complex solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead solution design for complex enterprise and public sector opportunities
- Define win themes, differentiators, and innovation strategies
- Shape opportunities through direct customer engagement
- Lead executive solution reviews
- Design scalable solutions using modern cloud technologies
- Leverage reusable assets and reference architectures
- Stay current across AWS, Microsoft, Google, ServiceNow, Salesforce
- Ensure feasibility and compliance
- Own technical responses for RFI/RFP/RFQ
- Develop solution concepts and whitepapers
- Conduct market and competitor analysis
- Lead estimation (analogous, parametric, three-point)
- Guide pricing strategy, cost optimisation, and risk
- Work with pricing and delivery teams
- Mentor Solution Architects and support teams
- Engage stakeholders and customers to design solutions
- Own delivery as chief engineer
- Support implementation and transition
- Present solutions to technical and non-technical audiences
- Communicate clearly and build trust
Key Skills:
- Strong cloud, AI, and data platform experience
- Proven success on large bids (£20M-£200M+)
- Experience with Salesforce, ServiceNow, Dynamics 365, AWS Connect, Genesys, Verint
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Agile delivery and roadmap experience
- Background in IT Services, Managed Services, or Software Delivery
- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, SRE, and cloud
- Strong commercial awareness and organisation
