Summary: The Principal Mechanical Process Engineer will work with a FTSE 100 organization in the nuclear sector on a 12-month remote contract, requiring occasional visits to the Plymouth site. Key Responsibilities:
- Design mechanical service or process systems.
- Ensure compliance with regulations in a highly regulated industry, preferably nuclear.
- Perform hydraulic or pressure calculations.
- Conduct hazard identification and analysis for process systems (e.g., HAZID, HAZOP).
- Manage a team of 3+ direct reports.
Key Skills:
- Experience in designing mechanical service or process systems.
- Experience in a highly regulated industry, with a preference for nuclear.
- Understanding of hydraulic or pressure calculations.
- Knowledge of hazard identification and analysis methods.
- BEng/BSc in mechanical engineering or a similar degree.
- Line management experience of 3+ direct reports.
