Summary: The Principal Disaster Recovery Consulting Engagement Lead will spearhead a comprehensive Disaster Recovery enhancement initiative for a customer, focusing on hybrid IT environments and cloud platforms. This role requires extensive experience in disaster recovery strategy, stakeholder management, and cross-functional team coordination. The Lead will develop and implement a robust DR strategy while ensuring alignment with business continuity goals. The position is remote with occasional visits to the Birmingham office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of the DR enhancement engagement, ensuring alignment with Customer’s business continuity goals and hybrid infrastructure dependencies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Customer stakeholders, managing expectations, timelines, and quality assurance.
  • Design a resilient DR strategy encompassing on-premises infrastructure, multi-cloud deployments (AWS, Azure), and third-party SaaS/PaaS/IaaS services.
  • Conduct maturity assessments and gap analyses against industry frameworks (ISO 22301, NIST), identifying areas for uplift.
  • Develop diverse, realistic DR scenarios tailored to Customer’s risk landscape, including ransomware, data center outages, and cloud service failures.
  • Establish structured workflows for end-to-end DR testing, including interdependency mapping across systems, applications, and business processes.
  • Advise on cloud-native DR approaches, automation of recovery workflows, and orchestration strategies for SaaS/PaaS/IaaS platforms.

The Principal DR Consulting Engagement Lead will serve as the strategic and operational anchor for Customer’s enterprise-scale Disaster Recovery (DR) enhancement initiative.
