Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain PowerShell scripts and modules to automate system administration, deployment, and reporting tasks.
- Build and support automation for Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure/M365, and related infrastructure.
- Integrate scripts with tools such as PowerShell DSC, Azure Automation, Task Scheduler, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Write clean, well-documented, and reusable code following source control and testing best practices (e.g., Git, Pester).
- Troubleshoot and resolve scripting/automation issues across production and non-production environments.
- Collaborate with IT operations, security, and DevOps teams to identify automation opportunities and reduce manual toil.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for scripts, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
- Travel to client/company sites as needed (up to 50%) to support implementations, migrations, and on-site troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience writing production-grade PowerShell scripts and modules.
- Solid understanding of Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and script testing frameworks (e.g., Pester).
- Familiarity with Azure or AWS cloud environments and their respective automation/CLI tools.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently on complex automation problems.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with additional scripting/programming languages (Python, Bash, or C#).
- Familiarity with Azure Automation, DSC, or configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Experience with CI/CD tooling (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, Azure Administrator Associate).
- Background in IT security, compliance, or systems auditing.
