Job Summary:

A skilled Technical Specialist is needed for a long-term contract to support and enhance a custom-built application used for construction project tracking. This role requires deep expertise in PowerBuilder, Java, and SQL, along with experience in remote development environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and resolve Java compatibility issues on Linux servers.

• Maintain and enhance PowerBuilder 10 application modules.

• Support and improve existing Java, C#, and .NET interfaces.

• Assist in the replacement of legacy spreadsheet formats with PowerBuilder data windows.

• Analyze and enhance application logic, bug fixes, and web-based integrations.

Required Skills:

• 10+ years of PowerBuilder development (PB10 or newer)

• 10+ years of Java development and library version management

• Strong SQL skills (any platform)

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with remote development teams

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with C#, C++

• .NET development with Visual Studio

• Stored procedures and trigger development

• API integration and data conversion experience
