Power Platform contracting has grown significantly as Microsoft has positioned the suite as the productivity and automation layer of the Microsoft 365 and Azure ecosystems, enabling organisations to build custom applications and automated workflows without the overhead of full custom software development. Contract engagements arise when organisations are building specific Power Apps or automation solutions, when a Power Platform Centre of Excellence is being established, or when governance and development standards need to be applied to a sprawling landscape of citizen-developer built solutions.
Power Platform contractors are expected to have practical experience building production-grade solutions across the relevant components of the suite rather than shallow familiarity with all four products.
