Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to support utilization management, care coordination, and payer operations.
- Translate complex healthcare data (claims, authorizations, eligibility, provider, and clinical datasets) into actionable insights.
- Build and optimize data models using star/snowflake schemas to support scalable reporting.
- Develop DAX calculations, measures, and KPIs aligned with UM metrics such as authorization turnaround times, denial rates, length of stay (LOS), readmission rates, and utilization trends by service line.
- Integrate data from multiple sources including data warehouses, SQL databases, APIs, and flat files.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders (UM teams, case managers, medical directors) to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
- Perform performance tuning and optimization of Power BI reports and datasets.
- Support ad hoc reporting and analytics requests.
- Maintain documentation for data models, reports, and ETL processes.
