Summary: The Power BI Developer role requires a seasoned professional with over 12 years of experience in Power BI, DAX, and report design. The position involves working with various Microsoft tools and cloud databases, alongside managing team responsibilities and stakeholder communications. The role can be performed remotely or from Raleigh, North Carolina, and is classified as outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 12 + years of experience as a Power BI Developer, with expertise in DAX, Power Query, and report design.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
  • Experience with Power BI Service for deployment and report sharing.
  • Experience in Cloud Databases (Snowflake, AWS, Azure).
  • Experience to analyze SQL queries for performance improvements and to create views/tables for Reporting needs.
  • Power BI Technical Skills - Power BI Desktop & Service, Data Modeling (DAX & Relationships), Power Query (M Language), Data Visualization & UI Design, Paginated Reports (Power BI Report Builder), Power Automate Integration.
  • Experience in delegating work and managing team responsibilities.
  • Experience with SQL Server, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
  • Experience in manufacturing domain is a plus.
  • Experience in communicating with stakeholders, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and end-users to better understand, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements.
  • Experience working with Query Editor to connect to different data sources and working on Data models.
  • Experience creating new Calculated Tables, Calculated Columns and Measures.
  • Experience in developing custom reports, and different types of Tabular Reports, Matrix Reports, Ad-hoc Reports, Drilldown, Parameterized, Cascading, Conditional, Table, Matrix, Chart, and Sub Reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Experience with SQL for data manipulation and extraction.
