Summary: The Power BI Developer role is a 12-month contract position focused on supporting a long-term data and reporting project for a leading organization. The developer will leverage the Microsoft tech stack, including Dynamics 365 and Azure, to create interactive dashboards and reports. This fully remote position requires collaboration with stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into scalable BI solutions. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in Power BI development and a strong understanding of data modeling and relational databases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports
- Transform complex data sets into clean, insightful visualisations to support business decisions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into scalable BI solutions
- Integrate and model data from Dynamics 365 and Azure-based data sources
- Optimise Power BI performance, implement best practices, and maintain data integrity across reports
- Support and guide the business on Power BI capabilities and usage
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Power BI Developer in a commercial environment
- Strong understanding of DAX, Power Query, and Power BI Service
- Hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 (Finance, SCM, CE, or equivalent modules)
- Experience working with Azure data services (e.g., Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake)
- Solid understanding of data modelling and relational databases
