Power BI Developer

Summary: The Power BI Developer role is focused on creating high-impact analytics solutions for UK clients in a fully remote environment. The position requires ownership of the entire BI workflow, from data ingestion and modeling to the creation of detailed dashboards. The ideal candidate will possess advanced expertise in Power BI and related technologies, ensuring the delivery of enterprise-grade BI solutions. Collaboration with stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable insights is also a key aspect of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and optimize complex Power BI data models (relationships, hierarchies, calculated tables/columns).
• Craft advanced DAX and Power Query transformations to turn raw data into actionable insights.
• Build intuitive, visually compelling reports and dashboards, ensuring performance at scale.
• Enforce security best practices, including Row-Level Security (RLS), Object-Level Security (OLS), and access-group management.
• Integrate Power BI with SQL data sources and the wider Microsoft stack (Power Apps, SharePoint, O365).
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders, translating requirements into analytics solutions.

Key Skills:

• Proven expert-level experience with Power BI Desktop & Service.
• Deep hands-on knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and SQL.
• Track record of optimizing large models and delivering enterprise-grade BI solutions.
• Solid grasp of data governance, compliance, and security controls.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and clear communication skills.
