Power BI Developer - Fully Remote Outside IR35

Summary: The Power BI Developer role is a fully remote contract position for six months, focusing on delivering a significant project for a major client. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in Power BI to transform complex data into effective visualizations and data models, ensuring an optimal user experience and actionable insights. This position requires a proactive individual who can lead the scope of work and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• End to end requirements capture, design and implementation of BI solutions using Power BI
• Connect PBI to and join diverse data sources to establish optimised data models
• Develop user-tailored data visualisations to facilitate insight
• Interact with business stakeholders to determine requirements
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical team members, clients, business analysts, and data engineers
• Troubleshoot data and PBI related issues and maintain PBI infrastructure
• Ensure data governance and security, utilizing security features within PBI such as row level security
• Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in Power BI and data visualisation

Key Skills:

• Proficient with PBI desktop and PBI service
• Data modelling
• Advanced DAX and Power Query M Code
• MSSQL
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Proactive, motivated, and curious with a focus on continuous improvement
• Degree in Computer Science or related and/or experience in a similar role (additional skills)
• Knowledge of Power BI admin portal (additional skills)
