Job Title: Power BI Data Analyst Healthcare
Location: Remote
Rate: $50/hr
Role Overview
We are seeking a Power BI-focused Data Analyst to design and deliver an interactive dashboard that identifies and analyzes duplicate patient encounters from large healthcare datasets. This role is highly time-sensitive and requires someone who can quickly understand messy Excel data, build scalable data models, and deliver actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct requirements gathering sessions with HIM, Data Governance, and Operations teams
- Analyze large Excel datasets to identify duplicate patterns and data quality issues
- Build robust Power BI data models for high-volume datasets
- Develop dashboards showing:
- Duplicate encounter patterns
- Encounter clustering
- Frequency & severity indicators
- Create dynamic filters (facility, date range, encounter type, risk level)
- Implement data refresh, validation, and transformation logic
- Collaborate with stakeholders to refine dashboards and usability
- Provide documentation and knowledge transfer
Required Skills
- Strong experience with Power BI (Dashboard + Data Modeling)
- Expertise in DAX, Power Query (M Language)
- Experience handling large datasets / messy Excel data
- Strong understanding of data quality, deduplication, and data cleansing techniques
- Ability to translate business needs into visual insights
Preferred Skills
- Healthcare domain experience (HIM, patient records, encounters)
- Experience with duplicate detection / data reconciliation
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks
