Power BI Adminstrator

Summary: The Power BI Administrator role involves managing the transition of approximately 700 users from Tableau to Power BI, serving as the primary contact for user queries. Responsibilities include user onboarding, workspace management, troubleshooting data connectivity issues, and optimizing datasets. The position requires collaboration with various data sources and tools, including Databricks and Azure, to ensure efficient operations. This is a remote position based in the USA, classified as outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the first point of contact for Power BI-related queries from business users.
• Handle user onboarding, license assignments, and basic workspace access setup.
• Configure and manage Power BI workspaces, data gateways (on-prem & cloud), and V-Nets.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data connectivity and refresh failures with Databricks, SQL, or other data sources.
• Support dataset optimization, gateway load balancing, and performance fine-tuning.
• Maintain environment documentation and support knowledge base for recurring issues.
• Perform deep-dive troubleshooting for recurring or high-severity incidents (P1/P2 tickets).
• Work with Databricks, Azure, and Power BI service logs to perform root cause analysis (RCA).
• Configure or optimize enterprise-level gateways, V-Nets, and cross-environment integrations.

Key Skills:

• Experience with Power BI administration and user support.
